Quick weekend get-away to Jamestown to see some old friends. The campground was not busy and very quiet.

Mike; do you have photos of how you installed the extra vent for the A/C? Instructions of the install would also be appreceated. I know that the front area gets hot from the large windshield. I had a shop install tint to the front windshield and that cut down on a lot of heat intrusion.

Sorry, I did not take in process photos. I cut a sabre saw blade in half. Looking at the upper vent, marked around the "new" vent, drilled corner holes. That square opened up the space above. I took a circle cutter blade on my drill and made a hole in the air conditioner duct. Then got creative to fill the gap of 1" or so, I cut up a plastic round container and some "packing" material and filled in the area. Mounted the new vent cover, with four sheetrock screws.

With fall well underway, probably one of the last MN excursions for 2011.

2012 Season Opener

Unread postby mike_rohwedder » Sat Mar 17, 2012 11:57 am

First days in upper 60s and 70s... serviced the "Winnie" and took a road trip to Rochester, MN.

All systems worked and no problems so that made for pleasent travels. Stayed at Autumnwoods RV Park in Rochester for few days.

Gas was $3.70 per gallon in MN... Averaged 15.8 mpg for the 840 total miles.

Steering Wheel Change

Found a screaming good deal on ebay. After spraying a good layer of WD40, screws came right out and change over took 5 minutes.
