1988 itasca phasar

My 88 Itasca sat a lot last year and part of this year due to me being away a lot rehabbing a house in another town. I'm trying to drive the RV more now and it's running good except when I'm using the cruise control there is intermittent hesitation. What could be causing this and what can I do? Thanks anyone.

I have found the cruise on these to be easy to work on. If you have the book it is very detailed on troubleshooting. 90% of the time it is a vacuum issue.

You know, I'm not a mechanic, but I do have the service manual. Do you think I could figure out how to fix this problem if it's a vacuum leak issue? Or should I leave it to a professional?
Could the problem possibly be due to the gas that's been sitting in the tank in the basically unused RV for quite a while? Or would that show up in mis-firing, which was the case until I had new spark plugs installed recently.

Vacuum lines are easy.... look for them, follow them..... make sure there are no holes or the ends are not cracked..... if the ends are cracked, cut the end off a little and put it back where you took it off of.

If the gas was questionable, it would run poorly cruise on or off.

On the Bosch units, the main issue with running is almost always vacuum. It can be ignition, like a bad wire or spark plug, maybe fuel or the filter has water in it, or the valves require adjustment. But all of these will run the way they run, independent of cruise. That said, the cruise does require vacuum, so there are lines that could be bad.....

I doubt it is electrical.

Don't know if manual says this....not only check hoses for cracks and leaks but hoses will also suck to geather and make the vacuum go up and down, bad check valve on reserve tank must work...

I have sold my 85 Lesharo and have a good heater that came out of a texas
coach. It has little use ond no corrosion. I also have a good gas tank and
a heater that used the engine coolant for heating the cabin. Let me know if
