The sending unit in tank is off. But if you carry a 5 gallon can with fuel
run it until it runs out keep track of mileage, then figure your range.
Once you know mileage you wont need fuel guage.

Shell Rotella T 15W40 is the oil used by most owners of Diesels and Gas. I have used it for abt 10 years,no engine oil problems. If you use the synthetic oil, expect more engine oil leakage..
Read the service information at the front of the book, it gives most oil, trans. final drives in miles and months.. Be careful about exceeding month oil change specs. Book specifies that regardless of mileage, If you don't reach the miles specs for filter and engine oil change, engine oil must be changed at 12 months intervals. A filter and few cans of oil is a lot cheaper than an engine rebuild.

I have some guaranteed functional, tested senders that I will sell for $25.00 USD plus post. I presume it is the one at the bottom of the right radiator tank that controls the fans. I also make a kit that allow a manual alternate method of controlling radiator fans.I sell the complete system including the AWG 16 wire, connectors, adapters and a wired control panel. Kit is completely assembled and includes the switch, two warning lights and in dash wiring all color coded including instructions. Does not eliminate the normal sensor control. Cost $35.00 USD,plus post.
