Finding parts

Sourcing parts for a Lesharo/phasar can be a frustrating task. Having started on my project a little over two years ago I too had my share of hair pulling. At present I am in a pretty good place as to the condition of my rig. The following notes may help others if they will bother to use them instead of just asking for a part number.
#1 Join the group and use the file system. Lots of information here. I have downloaded many articles to a folder on my computer for reference.
#2 Put the part numbers into Google search, surprising how many items are available on Amazon and E bay.
Rock auto is not quite as good as it was in the recent past. I managed to get a few good deals from close outs on their site. I bought a water pump for $20.00 just to have if needed. (not yet). Quite often their are good cross references to other brands. Freight to United States has become very costly.
#3 Use Google search. Sorry guys, but I find it easier to search a subject of Lesharo with Google than trying to search the conversations.
# Finally, The word of Larry and Scott, and others here. Thanks a bunch.

A little addendum to my post. It is a shame that Mobility has decided to price their products totally out of reason. I know that we are a somewhat captive audience and they are really nice people to deal with. That being said, I wonder how much in sales are lost by not pricing at customary rates. Last year I needed an axle seal for the drive. Cost was over $50.00 Even charged me for labor to ship it. Never heard of that. When I received the seal I googled the size on the seal and bought a couple of spares for less than $5.00 a piece delivered. It is the same as one used for a Honda ATV.

Came up with a part that most have replaced and the rest haven't looked. Where is this fellows shop?
Anyone with a few bucks that wants to pick up some, would be a Godsend. to have a ready source close by
Amy one found a ready source for the McPherson Struts? Again, most folks are running around with the original struts.

The issue with the racks are; Renault used 2 manufacturers, interchanging the racks at will on the Trafic. They each fit the same externally, but the innerds are different, so require different seal kits. Jean is going to document the rebuilding, parts, and identifiers of his rack so we will know at least one type. Who knows, maybe Winnebago insisted on 1 mfr only, if we are lucky!

This may save all of us some coin in the long run.

Cheers, Scott

Don't stop there. Source, number etc. Great writeup thogh. Some of use are too lazy to do the
looking...me included...the parts book that all of us have added to from the Group mail is the easy way to do it. Me and a lot of others write the numbers down by the Renault or Winnebago parts number..... A cross over book is not available (or probably ever existed. In the US having a Winnebago or Renault parts number, is OK but useless for getting parts locally because no list of crossover parts is in their computer.
Generally most consumable parts, such as, some filters. belts, spark plugs fuel caps for gas and Diesel models,Common hoses (Important note- Use ONLY fuel hose designated "fuel injector hose" or equivalent Carbureter gas hose, will fail with the possible surge of 120 psi 'the dead-head pressure' of the Bosch fuel pump. Carb hose is rated for around 10 psi(a guess).
Since the Renault or Winnie finch in not in their computers. 'Nuther can't get parts' with the H-body not represented even with the parts on the shelf, the parts houses have no way to cross over.
Taking in a part for comparisons one way, the other is having a US English note from our Group files or your parts sneek
sheet. It will give them the crossover to Medallion and the other Renault 2.2 powered vehicle
IMHO
