Lesharo MPG first test

Unread postby RV4BT » Sun Sep 20, 2015 9:33 pm

I decided to do a MPG test after weeks of driving around town. I took the Lesharo 4BT out for a 65 mile run to one of the state parks to look around. I fill the fuel tank up, letting the pump shut off two times to make sure it was topped off. We drove about 50 miles on the highway and 15 around the park and through the town. Driving on the highway I average 65-70 mph and when we got home we refilled the vehicle.

It took 2.8 gallons to fill it up, I again let the pump shut off two times to make sure it was topped off.
We average 23.2 MPG! This is totally where I wanted to be on mileage for the 4BT and I could see getting 25 MPG with straight non-stop highway driving! Not bad for a nearly 7,000 lb beast!

More test to go, some additional sound proofing to install to further quieten it down. We plan our first RV trip in October and I have a lot yet to do.

That is great news for mileage!
Glad to see your expectations being met as you move forward to complete your conversion.
Good Work.
