4BTRV conversion can now be driven!

Well it has taken nearly two years of work to make this conversion happen.

This is a 1986 Winnebago Lesharo that had a diesel engine that had thrown a rod. I bought it for $700.00 and began the repower plan. My goal was to make it rear wheel drive so I could put a bigger motor and tow a small car.

Considerable front suspension work had to be done to get it to accept a Crown Victoria which bolts in when the frame is prepared properly.

Front Suspension 2003 Crown Victoria raise 3"
Cummins 4BT cylinder Turbo Diesel engine
Ford ZF S5-42 5 Speed manual transmission
Ford 9" Truetrac rear axle

Here is the first drive video. More to follow as I get the dash and electrical all situated.

Aww, I could only hear redneck music!
Was looking forward to the diesel noises.

If my posts seem short and to the point-its because I type with one finger. Running sweet on home made bio.

Sorry about the music. Here is a better video with engine sounds.

I had to get my wife to do the video while I drove. The other camera picked up too much static.
