Check your TDC sensor on the top of the transmission. If it's original, it's probably failing.

Cheers, Scott

The no starts will become more frequent as it ages.... the specs to check are in the service manual. Cheers, Scott

General Advice: if you have no maintenance history, the prior owner can't/won't provide history, to increase reliability best to assume all critical sensors are original are probably performing erratically, and need changing. They are very critical to a well running coach.

If you know how to test them, great, test them all, then replace the ones that test out of spec. For some owners who don't know how to test, or can't afford the mechanic's labor to test them, then replacing the sensors may be the best and cheapest option.

Breakdowns out on the road cost more than the new sensor.

I have had the same start ,run, shut off, not start till the next day...always away from home without the right tools. On several occasions removed the TDC sensor, found oil/gunk on the tip, cleaned, noted a tiny amount of ferric metal in the oily stuff. Shis sensor is manatic Cleaned and it was good for a couple thousand more miles. Remember that the tip of the sensor tip clearance to the reluctor plate is critical. Also there is a warning in the BOOK about how critical the reluctor must run. On the automatic tranny the welded-on plate can be damaged/bent out of true tracking when removing the engine or splitting engine from transmission. Never use a bar or large screw driver to help the split unless you are sure you know what you are prying against,, The reluctor plate is welded on the automatics, is a solid casting with the ring gear and flywheel on the 5 speed. .Reluctor---see Google

I think you meant to type "This sensor is magnetic". Took a minute to decipher.
