Zero to sixty in a TD Phasar

There must be some statistics available for this topic. I’m planning on making some changes and would like a baseline to see if there is an improvement. I’ve tried to do some searches. But, nothing comes up for me.

I’m excited! I just purchased a Snows water methanol injection system on EBay, for Diesel engines. It will have to Wait until spring , with all the projects that I’m currently working on.

They definitely engineered these to maximize fuel economy in the era of the national 55 mph speed limit, not for performance. It's not a difficult test to do yourself.

As a competitive benchmark, MotorWeek reported that the first wasserboxer Vanagon (1984) was about 3 seconds faster than its predecessor, returning 0-60 mph in 18.2 s:
