Could someone please tell us what size and brand the timing belt is on a 1987 2.2 gas Renault?
We would like to go to an auto parts store rather than send away...need it tomorrow!
Thanks,

In the RockAuto.com I found 7 different make listed. The timing belt length is 441/4"x3/4" 118 teeth. RockAuto list: Dayco part#95140, Gates part# T140, Goodyear part# 40140, ACDelco part#
TB140 and so on.
Good luck!

Forgot to tell you that Renault Fuego, Encore and Alliance has same engine and that is what I was
looking for. If you look for leSharo it won't work.

The timing belt and tensioner is the same as a 1986 renault r18i sportwagon or a 1989 eagle medallion. Dayco part number 95140

Is this the same engine and belt as the 1985 Phasar TD?

Yes. You should have a plate on the rocker cover with engine type, HP etc. Should be the J8S engine.

DOH!, just read that again, are you asking if the timing belts are the same on the gas and diesel engines? They are not!
